Meet new friends, improve skills, and compete across Minnesota!

Andes D Team Overview

You will find that Andes D Team is a competitive group that has a blast learning to ski and race. D Team stands for Development Team and is designed to introduce alpine ski racing to children ages 6 – 18 years old. Our emphasis is on teaching fundamental skills of skiing to each team member at their current level of athletic and skiing ability. We have a small but mighty team and are always up to the challenge of competing against other programs across Minnesota with more size and resources. Our proven curriculum has been successful, and we have found it is not about the quantity of racers, but it is about the quality of our program, coaches, and team. Skiing is a lifelong sport that allows racers, and their families to participate and go as far as they want!

  • Coached D Team from 2005-2010
  • Director of D Team from 2007-2010

Skiing has always been a huge part of my life. Coaching and mentoring youth is also something very dear to my heart. I took a break from coaching skiing but never stepped away from the sport. I also coach high school girls soccer at Alexandria high school and during my time away from racing I coached snowboarding with the Foundation 725 program at Andes tower hills. Now that my oldest son has started racing I am thrilled to be back with Andes D team. My hope is that anyone I have the opportunity to coach not only becomes a better athlete but also learns to love the lifetime sport of skiing as much as I have. To me, the best thing you can give a kid is the skill of a lifetime sport.
My husband currently coaches for Foundation 725. I live in Alexandria and have 2 sons Harvey who is 7 and Gus who is 6
